Raytheon Supplier Quality, an integral partner within of Raytheon Missile System’s Quality and Mission Assurance Department, seeks a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our team.
The ideal candidate, our Fielded Supplier Quality Engineer, will serve as the Raytheon Missile System (RMS) Quality contact and field support to our assigned supply base. Within RMS, Fielded Supplier Quality Engineers are involved in all aspects of planning and executing production of a wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products.
The Fielded Supplier Quality Engineer must possess knowledge of the related manufacturing and quality processes. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
monitor performance of assigned suppliers, analyzing gaps to achieve 100% quality
collaborate with programs and suppliers to develop/execute performance improvement plans
perform product verification in accordance with applicable drawing and purchase order requirements and witnessing/verifying product qualification
verify first article inspection in accordance with AS9102
conduct various audits/reviews
participate in risk mitigation and problem resolution while guiding suppliers to implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions
The Fielded Supplier Quality Engineer will analyze and assimilate multiple sources of data such as: process capability, audit findings, defect data, corrective actions, and supplier ratings/performance history, to identify and act on systemic issues within a supplier’s Quality Management System.
The primary focus of this position are electronic technologies in Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Datalinks, Telemetry, GPS, Electronics and RF/Microwave (e.g., microwave and integrated assemblies, antennas, receivers, transmitters), and flex harnesses.
This is a flexible location based assignment in the southeastern US with regular travel (local and US). Primary areas of responsibility include Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
Note: This position can be a Salary Grade G09 (Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer II) or G10 (Principal Quality Assurance Engineer) based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the position requirements.
Required Experience: G09- Six (6) or more years of related engineering experience. G10-Eight (8) or more years of related engineering experience.
Experience with electronic technologies such as: Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Datalinks, Telemetry, GPS, Electronics and RF/Microwave (e.g., microwave and integrated assemblies, antennas, receivers, transmitters), flex harnesses; and the related manufacturing and quality processes and support systems/tools.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team-based setting (with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders); professional demeanor, and effective interpersonal skills.
Project management skills such as identifying required resources, developing project plans, and driving project execution. Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate teams.
Ability to understand drawings, work instructions, Bills of Materials and related systems (such as product data manager, SAP)
Experience working in a dynamic environment that requires prioritization and flexibility to support competing requirements.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Proficiency in any "required skill" area.
Engineering development experience and transition from development to production.
Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis and Design of Experiments
Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project) or similar, and business systems.
Knowledge of Performance Specification and Requirements Management Practices
Masters Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Business.
