Reports To: Contract Manager FMSO for day to day operational issues. The Defence Services Supply Chain Manager for all other Technical, Supply, Movement issues.
Based in Kabul HKIA, Afghanistan but must be prepared to travel to other FMS(O) sites as required.
Logistics Manager FMSO:
The KBR Logistics Manager (FMSO) is responsible for all logistic concerns and activities in-theatres of operations. He reports to the Contract Delivery Manager in support of the FMSO. He/she will be responsible for the day to day management of the FMSO Logistics Department including but not limited to - reports, Health & Safety, requisitions, Maximo WHM System control accounting, storage, handling and inventory management and liaisons with the client and suppliers on a day to day basis.
Supporting the Management of the FMSO Logistic Department at all FMS(O) working areas including:
Kabul HKIA, Kabul Camp QAA, o Kabul HQRS, Kabul NKC, Kabul Camp TPN,
UAE Al Minhad
Oman, Musannah and Camp Green
Responsible for the daily running of the FMSO Logistics Department
Plan prepare and monitor Minimum & Maximum stores to facilitate all sites
Prepare reports for Contract Management
Acts as an interface with the Military Logistics and Supply Chain functional areas.
Monitors the Supply Chain from the all areas of operation and reports issues as necessary.
Complete all documentation in relation to all issues -transfers and update Maximo WMS.
Check all receipts for quality and quantity assurance and report any damage or
discrepancies immediately through the OSDQ Process.
Plan and Book Local Supply deliveries and collections
Collect and escort Local Suppliers on and off the base.
Produce Purchase Request (PR) information within the Purchasing Process.
Produce Purchase Orders (PO) information within the Purchasing Process.
Produce Quotations within the Purchasing Process.
Ensure all COSHH material is issued in accordance with the current KBR COSHH policy
Conduct security checks of the Logistics yard at the close of each working day, including
housekeeping checks for hygiene and cleanliness.
Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations in accordance with the company Health and Safety Policy and current Health and Safety legislation.
Adhere to all site safety rules and comply with all site Risk Assessments and control measures.
Prepared to take on any reasonable duty expected of the Manager
Capable of undertaking escorting duties as necessary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the FMSO Logistics Department, under the direction of Contract Management.
The day to day Management of the FMSO Logistic Departments consisting of:
Day to day Management of the in-theatre Supply Chain
Ensuring the Inventory Control processes are in place to ensure timely and accurate delivery of items as required.
Ensuring correct use and licensing of MHE equipment
Ensuring KBR policies are adhered to in the management of project Vehicles.
Ensuring work practices adhere to KBR Work Instructions.
Assisting in the management of Health, Safety and Environment issues for the Logistic Department
Implementation of COSHH regulations
Identifying Supply Chain solutions that reduce company and project supply costs
Reach-back to Regional and UK and Local supply chains
