The Melbourne transport team has a variety of immediate secured work and future opportunities including design work on North Western Program Alliance work Level Crossing Removal packages, Western Roads Upgrade, Inland Rail, future M80 Ring Road Upgrades, Melbourne Airport Rail Link, and other large road and rail and projects.

The Opportunity

With several projects currently being delivered and to position ourselves for future opportunities, KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our well established and growing project team to lead a Project team within the NWPA. Ideally this role will suit an Engineer with 10 years’ experience in Engineering Design Project Management, including solid knowledge of MTM, VicRoads and Austroads standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of proposals in the Transport market sector in Victoria
  • Work with the local discipline leads and the Market Sector Manager to develop the Victorian Transport base load business and to achieve the stated strategic outcomes
  • Manage delivery of projects to required technical and quality standards, meet client requirements and achieve agreed financial outcomes
  • Manage preparation of proposals including methodology, team, fee estimate and contractual negotiations within company guidelines and acceptable risk profile
  • Lead and provide oversight of project establishment for base load work in Victoria
  • Develop and maintain a market presence in the Transport industry in Victoria through the development of relationships with current and potential clients, partners and suppliers including through attendance at relevant industry events
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Managing expectations to successfully develop and agree best for Project outcomes
  • Responsible for aligning Project outcomes with stakeholder expectations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or lesser qualification and equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15-20 years.
  • Experienced completing project budgets within an agreed timeframe and number of hours
