The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program within Space provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The PLSSS contract has two main locations: Vandenberg AFB, CA. and Cape Canaveral, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
The Financial Analyst Associate job will be support the Business office in the following areas: financial management and applications, program status tracking, data control, workforce planning/staffing, subcontractor coordination, cash management, accounts receivable aging reconciliation and coordination/analysis of key reports.
•Provide assistance to the Business Manager for review and analysis of financial data, reports and schedules.
•Prepare ad hoc program reports for management, and provide overall planning and financial support for Program Management Office (PMO).
This position will also be working heavily in SAP and Maximo with a new interface we are working. This will include opening charge numbers, running reports for accuracy of charging, managing permissions, access rights and data base management.
•Reconciliation and audit of labor charges and financial data.
•Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
•Supports and participates in negotiations with customer. •Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
•Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund and cost allocations, and work requirements.
•Participates in month end close process and gross margin reviews.
•Analyzes project revenues, expenses, and gross margins; applying principles of accounting and making recommendations for corrections, controlling costs, and preparing/providing financial report.
•Create worksheets and charts for internal and external customers.
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with poly clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field with Information Technology or equivalent experience/combined education.
Experience in cost management and financial accounting.
Strong Microsoft office skills with advance skills in MS Excel.
Quick learner on financial software tools.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Works well in team environments and independently.
