Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA has an immediate opportunity for an early career Facilities Engineer who wants to be part of this mission. Virtually every Lockheed Martin Space mission success starts with a strong foundation of facility infrastructure design, which is built and operated risk free in support of business needs without interruption. As a Facilities Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space, you’ll have the opportunity to use your education and experience to take on formidable challenges and become an integral part of our team as we build new, and maintain current, state of the art engineering facilities. At Lockheed Martin Space, you’ll use innovative approaches that help insure reliability of mechanical infrastructure that produces cutting edge space systems and analyzes trends while managing operational efficiencies.
In this early career Facilities Engineering role your responsibilities will include:
• Working within the Plant Engineering organization to oversee the testing and compliance of fire, security, and electrical power distribution systems by company technicians and support contractors
• Manage contractor budgets
• Work will municipalities having jurisdiction
• Review project designs for compliance, maintainability and reliability
• Create test and preventive maintenance plans that address functional failures, train technician in proper testing procedures and manage test and repair work schedules
Our employees working in this level of position typically have 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

4 year degree in Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
Facility operations work experience.
Strong communication skills and ability to be a team player.
Working knowledge of fire safety systems and NFPA 72 testing and compliance.
Previous work with Lenel and MAStermind systems.
Experience leading technicians.
