Job Description:
Our Residential Valuation team offers valuations and advice on single assets, residential portfolios and complex development appraisals. We work closely with our colleagues in the Residential New Homes and Investment agency, providing the valuers with up to date market knowledge ensuring that we are re?ecting the true market conditions at that time.
The team has an ambitious growth strategy and has been involved in many of the sector’s key deals in the last 12 months. We continue to grow our Residential business in recognition of the key role it plays within the UK’s real estate market.
Your role will be to play a key part within the residential development valuation team, providing market leading advice to institutions, fund managers, developers and any other entity requiring advice. You will have a proven track record of income generation and revenue growth, and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines, whilst collaborating with other skill lines across the Cushman & Wakefield Group as and when required. You will be highly numerate and have high attention to detail. You will have experience in both understanding and building complex cash flows and investment scenarios, in both excel and Argus developer. You will have both residential development and residential investment valuation experience. Working within this team offers the individual the chance to work on both market leading and high-profile transactions and developments in the residential space.
Role Profile:
To provide excellent professional advice and service to clients in support of instructions managed by Directors. Contribute to team fee, billing and profit targets.
Core Responsibilities:
Clients & Marketing
Support the team plan to develop a client portfolio Act as prime client interface on projects s/he manages, i.e. update clients on progress, answer queries, provide advice Familiar with Cushman & Wakefield corporate structure and seeks to develop internal networks
Support the team profile in the market
Support Directors by contributing to client presentations, bids and pitches
Work collaboratively to generate new instructions and pool expertise within the team
Proactively look for and is able to identify new business and revenue opportunities with new and existing clients
Manage and liaise with internal teams and external consultants to provide a full service to the client
Gather and act on client feedback
Profit & Finance
Identifies opportunities to cross-sell when discussing a client’s requirements
Manage budgets and billing on specific client accounts
Able to be an effective contributor to the team’s and individual revenue target
Effectively use established systems for debtor and disbursement recovery to secure cash flow and profitability
Operations & Risk
Ensure work complies with firm procedures and guidelines (health & safety, quality, risk, professional code of conduct, etc.)
Highly numerate with the ability to grasp complex investment scenarios.
People & Teams
Coach graduates and Surveyors/ Consultants
Keep own knowledge of relevant industry standards up to date
Proactively seek and undertake on the job and formal developmental activities to broaden experience and knowledge
Achieve annual objectives set within performance review and actively engage in review process
Undertake and record the requisite amount of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)Support local office social activities
Qualifications:
MRICS qualified Registered Valuer, with at least 2-3 years’ post qualification experience
Post Graduate Degree level qualification (ideal)Knowledge & Experience:
Experience in the preparation of high quality valuation reports from end to end for a broad range of purposes including acquisition, accounts, loan security and strategic advice in the residential or development sector.Thorough knowledge and understanding of the residential development and investment valuation (including PRS) space.The ability to build and understand complex valuation cash flow models.Advanced Excel skills, and the ability to build complex pricing models for large portfolios.Experience in using Argus Developer and an existing understanding of the key inputs in forming development appraisals.Advanced IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).An understanding of business development and client relationship management.A desire to progress and generate new business within the residential and development sectors.Experience in networking and building relationships internally and externally.The ability to lead and manage an instruction from start to finish.High level of numerical reasoning and analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Valid UK driving licence.Passionate about the residential sector.To support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued growth in revenue.Skills & Personal Qualities:
