Job Description: The Land Warfare Systems (LWS) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a strong finance employee wanting to make a difference at both the program and product line level. LWS FP&A is a team of 3 analysts located within the LWS product line in Tucson, AZ. We share the responsibility of consolidating, analyzing, and reporting the key financial metrics to LWS leadership. Successful candidate will have the following opportunities:
Bookings/Sales/Profit/Cash analysis and reporting
Support monthly PL reviews, quarterly financial reviews, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and 5 Year planning
Assist with financial forecast guidance to program and product line leaders based upon trend and R&O analysis
Help ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures
Bachelors degree in Business, Math, Accounting, Finance or a related field and 2 years of experience or a realted MS degree an 0 years of experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills are a must because the team interacts with all programs which are located throughout the building in Midtown Tucson, AZ and also in McKinney, TX
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to translate data into stories
Confidence to help drive change
Able and willing to tackle new assignments without the aid of relying on already defined structures or approaches
Capable of handling a high stress environment with multiple tasks occurring simultaneously and new tasks layering in on top of the ones already due
Solid abilities relating to financial systems (SAP, BW, RPlan, etc.), and tools (Analysis for Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the relationships and links between the financial systems and have the ability to manipulate large amounts of data while demonstrating the ability to determine relevance and accuracy of system data
Highly Desired Skills:
Inquisitive with strong analytical and mathematical skills
A drive for leading process change, willing and able to partner with cross business teams to improve forecast accuracy
Experience in program finance (managing multiple contracts, earned value management, Estimate at Complete (EACs)) or other key functions within RMS Finance (Accounting, Rates, OSQ, Engineering & IT, etc.).
