Raytheon has an exciting opportunity working with a wide breadth of equipment and cutting edge technologies including our Laureate winner for innovative technology incorporating gallium nitride (GaN) into military radars. This Equipment Engineer position is a 4th shift role , 40 hours Friday AM – Sunday PM, providing support from both a tactical and strategic perspective based on sound engineering and maintenance principles, as they relate to scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of wafer fabrication equipment. If you are a self-motivated technical professional capable of working independently as well as being capable of interfacing with vendors, working to assigned budgets and understanding how your equipment impacts the overall manufacturing process then this is the position for you. In addition to maintaining your assigned equipment, you will be required to implement predictive performance controls and document preventive maintenance procedures for semi-conductor equipment.
The qualified candidate must have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of Etch, Photolithography, Metal Deposition and Backside semiconductor processing equipment; including, plasma etchers, resist strippers, evaporators, plasma, sputter, atomic layer deposition systems, resist coaters, contact aligners steppers, wet benches, acid and solvent clean tools, plating baths, scribe and break tools, and grinders. This includes experience with vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, RF/ microwave, chemical systems typically found in a semiconductor operation.
This person will actively participate in continuous improvement activity and will work to improve up time performance on assigned systems. This candidate will be required to ensure equipment availability by implementing corrective actions for hardware and software related equipment issues. This job also requires support of emergency response team (ERT).
This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position
Must be able to perform related hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment
Ability to work with various chemicals including, acetone, isopropanol, resist, solvents acids, alkaline cleaners and developers.
Requires the availability during weekends to support manufacturing needs
Ability to wear special cleanroom garments and PPE (personal protective equipment), ESD wrist straps.
Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards
Proficient use of MS Office products
Related experience as a hand-on Equipment Maintenance Technician/ Engineer maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment
B.S. Technical Degree in Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent education and experience.
