This position if for a DPA technician that has experience with performing Destructive Physical Analysis of electronic components per mil-std-1580. Techs are expected to perform the analytical tasks to identify and resolve anomalies with electronic component construction. These may involve:
De-processing of electronics
Cross-sectioning of electronics
Operating a scanning electron microscope
Performing energy-dispersive x-ray analysis
Scanning Acoustic Microscopy
X-ray and Computed Tomography
Bond Pull / Die Shear
Micro Hardness Testing
Database inputs on all work is mandatory and essential. Detailed report writing is required. Tasks executed using internal worksheets to meet cost and schedule. The position involves working with other staff to complete tasks as well as other labs to complete operations that are not carried out in the FA lab. Regular status and problems are to be reported to the team leader.
Familiar with materials, construction and specifications involving high reliability components. understanding of scanning electron microscope principles and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, and x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF).
At least 2 year experience working in a component-level analytical lab.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Education Requirements: High School diploma and BA with 2 years of experience working in a component-level analytical lab or trade school and 2 year experience working in a lab environment.
