Job Description:
The Zumwalt Destroyer Program lifecycle engineering support function of Raytheon's Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS), Training and Logistics Services (T&LS) Directorate is seeking an experienced logistician to work at Navy Base San Diego, California to support the Program as it covers ships in multiple phases of construction and system activation.

As a member of the USS Zumwalt Class Destroyer Program Sustainment Team, you will be responsible for supporting test and activation operations on Zumwalt DDG ships.

This position is unique opportunity to expand your experience across a very wide variety of state-of-the art technologies through the management of hardware as various mission systems are brought on line.

Work as part of our team with other logistics support personnel and field engineering organizations to support on ship operations and Training classrooms and networks.

In addition to assisting the Shipboard Test and Activation Team and ILS Team in efforts & activities necessary to meet program requirements, you will also support various crew training conducts.

It is expected that you will have a solid understanding of and be able to perform to Navy and shipyard production/test schedules effectively.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Database management tools
  • Experience working with Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
  • Solid Understanding of hardware and software engineering principles
  • Ability to read and interpret Mil-Spec engineering documentation and drawings
  • Must be willing and able to travel occasionally
  • Experience with Navy weapons and communication systems
  • Military training background
  • Maintain material control with records and schedule keeping
  • The individual must be well-organized self-starter
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Excellent computer skills are required and consists of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired Skills:
  • Operations Experience on a Zumwalt Class or AEGIS Destroyer ships
  • Experience developing, reviewing and teaching Military training content
  • Willing to work in a shipyard environment
  • Government property inventory experience
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor of Science Degree Or,
    A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in a technical billet such as Electronics, Weapon systems, Sensors, IT, or communications.
