SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer in North Charleston,
Serve as the embedded Technical Writer/Editor for a USMC
Work in conjunction with and alongside technicians,
logisticians, engineers and the customer to capture and document written, and
line drawings for developing technically detailed, instructions of C4ISR
systems into various military vehicle platforms.
Tasked with the creation of Technical Instructions (TIs),
Technical Manuals (TMs), Technical Bulletins (TB), Illustrated Parts
Breakdowns, Inspection/Maintenance procedures and Processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude with common hardware, hand
tools, and the ability to simplify complex tactile movements into narrative
Work will comply with DoD standards.
Participate in conference calls, verification and
validation trials, and other milestones as required by the Project Manager
Required Education and Experience
Active DOD Secret clearance.
4 years of experience in the actual writing and editing of technical documentation dealing with Technical Manuals, Technical Instruction and Modification Instructions in Support of DoD C4ISR systems or related C4ISR systems.
Must have excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Be able to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team and interface regularly with a wide range of personnel.
Must be able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Candidate must be able to problem solve.
Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Word, and Adobe applications.
