Description:Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains communications equipment, computer systems, documentation, diagrams and architecture using internally created and/or commercial off the shelf products. Installs, analyzes and identifies existing or new peripherals, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Troubleshoots and solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
Coordinates with internal and external customers as needed to meet objectives. Installs, configures and maintains network architecture. Administers network applications and ensures network devices are maintained to optimize connectivity and throughput. Candidate must be proficient with, Windows XP/2000, UNIX/LINUX. The candidates must have strong foundation in networking and telephony, including a thorough understanding of long-haul circuit connectivity, networked routers, switches, VLANs and electronic interfaces in a LAN/WAN/MAN network. Knowledge and experience with installation and routine operation of encryption devices, keying material and security practices in a classified environment. Experience with fabrication of network cables and interfaces, TCPIP, SNMPv3, IPv6 and DIS/HLA in a simulation network. Experience with circuit test equipment, network analyzers, and sniffers.
Experience with Modeling & Simulation software platforms, ASTI, Semi-Automated Forces, JCATS, FalconView, Asset, TipOff, TACLAN and or TopScene are a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or higher, or 2-years of college with at least 5 years of experience.
Current Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
Proficient with Windows XP/7/2008, and Red Hat/UNIX/LINUX.
Experience in networking and telephony, including a thorough understanding of long-haul circuit connectivity, networked routers, switches, VLANs and electronic interfaces in a LAN/WAN/MAN network.
Installation and operation of encryption devices, keying material and security practices in a classified environment.
Fabrication of network cables and interfaces, TCPIP, SNMPv3, IPv6 and DIS/HLA in a simulation network.
Experience with circuit test equipment, network analyzers, and sniffers.
Experience with Modeling & Simulation software platforms, AWSIM, Semi-Automated Forces, JCATS, FalconView, Asset, TipOff, TACLANE, TopScene, and CISCO Call Manager.
