Description:Lockheed Martin, Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern. This SOF GLSS program is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF warfighter with the best possible systems and equipment.

A Quality Engineering Intern will work as part of a team based in Lexington, KY. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Investigate and resolve manufacturing deficiencies
- Develop and evaluate acceptance criteria, implement inspection strategies, and streamline processes
- Facilitate product and process improvements via evaluations, data analysis, root cause analysis, and other common industry tools
- Position will work closely with manufacturing and provide assistance in the acceptance of hardware
- Support leadership to drive improvements, evaluate product risks, and resolve problems
- Implement of Quality & Mission Success initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business or Operations Management from an accredited University.

Interim secret clearance required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
Minimum 3.0 GPA

Ability to organize and track multiple activities and
prioritize tasks based on importance.

Ability to proactively review, interpret, and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements

Effective interpersonal skills including team building and communication.

Analytical capabilities to resolve process issues.

Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate must possess strong computer skills (experience with Microsoft Suite) and the have the ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties.
