As the successful QA Engineering Sr. Manager, you will build a strong new team to plan and successfully execute a portfolio Navy Strategic Program. You will be deployed to the Program Manager and work closely within the integrated program team to develop, apply and maintain quality systems to make sure that we deliver the capabilities that the Navy customer has defined in the Statement of Work, System requirements, and operational deployment.
You will have responsibility for the overall process and product quality on these critical programs. This position requires a strong understanding of all aspects of Quality Assurance, and the ability to adapt these to development program needs. We need you to be a driving force to guide technical decisions that achieve high quality performance. Your work will influence the Systems Architecture, Integrated Master Plan, Requirements and Verification Baseline, development and flight test hardware baseline, ground and flight test planning, design maturity milestone reviews. As a Full Spectrum Leader, you will also drive design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way with the mindset of QA as an independent and objective judge of product performance, and you will have the ultimate authority to ensure requirements are met. This senior leadership position works closely with their Navy counterpart to develop, test and field a strategic system.
In this role, you will have functional responsibility for your team, including staffing, performance reviews, and talent development. You will own the Corrective Action Board (CAB) and serve as the primary DCMA contact for this portfolio. You will be expected to fulfill delegation responsibilities for the Director, QA, and to lead cross-functional improvement projects to drive cost down and value up.

This position is based in Denver, Colorado.
Minimum 10 years of QA experience or related technical discipline
Demonstrated strong expertise in root cause analyses methodologies and in developing preventive quality corrective action plans
Demonstrated experience supporting program milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR) as the primary QA point of contact
Demonstrated ability to interact with DOD & DCMA customers and build effective relationships
Minimum 5 years leadership experience
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret level DoD clearance
BS level degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or Physics from an accredited University or College
Experience as QA Sr. Manager within the Space Systems Business Area or major Weapon System
Experience in a Program Start-UP environment
Experience on a leadership team on a development program
Experience with control account management principles, techniques, and processes, minimum in either a CAM position, or a role with similar experience supporting proposal development
Experience defining a requirements and verification baseline, and of QA oversight of implementation.
Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System requirements
Green Belt / Black Belt Certification; Experience in applying toolset
A thorough understanding of LM Configuration Control processes
Experience leading and conducting QA reviews including Corrective Action Boards, Corrective Action Plans, and Continuous Improvement projects
Experience leading QA on large- scale technical programs
Ability to interface with planning to define and manage the QA portion of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
