Job Purpose
Prepares accurate and timely monthly financial reports for TGEP operating companies
Prepares forecasts, budgets, and KPIs to increase financial profitability, maximize profits and achieve growth
Assists in the development of short and long-term business plan by collecting and assessing stakeholder data
Provides performance modelling to support planning and budgeting scenario analyses
Provides financial analysis and general business support to TGEP functional teams
Supports ad hoc requests and tasks as needed
Supports initiatives and special projects as needed
Applies US GAAP, IFRS, FERC, SOX and SEC requirements to budgeting and planning activities
Responsible for supporting financial and non-financial controls to meet business requirements
Key Accountabilities
Develop an understanding of the business context associated with value opportunities and initiatives and to translate financial and non-financial information into financial business cases.
Provide a commercial understanding of how contracts work and to utilize contract management skills to assist the National Grid business in implementing and managing the delivery of value from its supply chain partners.
Work closely with appropriate functional management teams, acting as financial point of contact and deputizing for Line Manager as required.
Work with other Finance Business Partners to record risks and opportunities.
Own the relationship with your business stakeholders, building strong rapport and trust to achieve the credibility to enable challenging discussions around commercial performance.
Understand the financial challenges faced by your business leads and strategically influence them to deliver options to meet our financial targets now and in the future.
Effectively collaborate with your Finance colleagues to ensure provision of consistent, high quality financial information reinforced by high quality insight and financial advice, supporting the business to deliver the right financial outcomes.
Contribute to and support all key commercial decisions across a range of business priorities and influence plans and investment appraisals for areas of business responsibility.

Qualifications – Required
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Strong Excel skills including data mining capabilities
Minimum of 3 years in finance roles demonstrating business partnering responsibilities
Experience in financial management and organizational budget planning
Demonstrated ability to create financial models and long-term forecasts
Demonstrated knowledge of finance systems and business process
Ability to work across department and geographic boundaries
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities through effective planning and execution skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Qualifications – A Plus (but not required)
Knowledge of utility Finance practices
Experience in energy, utility, generation or related industries
