Job Description:

The RF Products & Technologies Department is currently searching for a mechanical engineer with design experience to provide engineering support in a multi-disciplined team environment for various RF designs. The assignment may include but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Product support through all phases of product life cycle, beginning with proposal development and continuing through production implementation.
  • Design, development, and documentation of RF products.
  • Design modifications to improve producibility, affordability, and/or performance.
  • Product qualification activities.
  • Coordinating and organizing multi-disciplined teams.
  • Interactions with customers, suppliers, and other disciplines.

The position will involve working with multi-disciplined teams in order to solve problems and propose solutions.

Required Skills:

US Citizenship required
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of related professional experience.
  • Experience with Creo Parametric (a.k.a. ProEngineer) (preferred), SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Some experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Proven abilities in structured problem solving
  • Must be eligible for, or have active, DoD SECRET security clearance. Must have INTERIM SECRET clearance before start date.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control
  • Knowledgeable in product testing
  • Experience related to RF components, circuit cards, or electronics packaging
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Required Education (including Major):
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
