Job Description:
The APC Operations Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with the customers to obtain the necessary information to develop and maintain the factory’s strategic plan. This manager will ensure that this information is fed into the factory capacity planning tool, and that periodic reviews are held with the programs to ensure alignment with the factory. It will be essential for this position to build a trusting relationship with the customers to ensure that the flowed down MRP demand is maintained so that a smooth continual production rate can be achieved for the factory. Also, this manager will ensure that the factory’s sub-assembly providers are aligned to the proper production schedules and that adequate resources and supplies are available to meet the demand. This manager must exhibit the leadership ability to direct a cross functional team to implement process improvement and waste reduction strategies within the product value stream. This ideal applicant will have the ability to collect production metric data (IE. HPU, Rework/Scrap and Cycle time) and utilize this data to establish and implement cost improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, production control or related experience
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to think strategically and determine long-term impact of decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to achieve goals of improved efficiency and low assembly costs
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and implementation

Required Education:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Management, Manufacturing or other related disciplines.
