Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening in Facilities for a Project Electrical Engineer.The Facilities Project Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance activities on assigned projects. Responsibilities include developing design criteria; preparing construction drawings, bid sheets, and estimates; coordinating, scheduling, and supervising contractor activities; ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements; conducting quality, safety, maintenance, and housekeeping audits, and maintaining all required documentation for facilities activities.

He/she will show exposure to the world of Facilities and Infrastructure by having taken Junior/Senior level classes in power systems and Distribution, Feedback-Control, HVAC/MEP, Trades management and scheduling/cost controls, and/or would have participated in a facilities/construction/O&M internship.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Ensure compliance with all Raytheon, Federal, State, and local codes regulations and standards.?
  • Actively coordinate and direct all phases of construction and maintenance projects – planning, design, construction, and project closeout.
  • Maintain all project documentation in an organized and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with other site support groups (Safety, Security, IT) to ensure a safe, well-maintained and pleasing work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, managers and customer representatives via presentations, briefings, and written documents.
  • Perform other facilities-related tasks as required.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US citizen to work in access-controlled areas
  • 0-2 years of facility project management or related experience
  • Knowledge of power distribution system operation, design, and maintenance
  • Basic skills with ACAD and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
  • Basic understanding of local and national codes governing construction and maintenance activities
  • Senior-Design projects, professional internships, or academic research demonstrating the ability to apply technical course work or computer skills in a facilities engineering capacity
  • Excellent communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Familiar with SAP/APEX programs for facilities work order management
  • Experience with troubleshooting & repair of facilities electrical systems
  • Plan and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Safely navigate construction areas, including elevated areas and confined spaces

Required Education and Experience:

Candidates must have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree by December of 2018 or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date in Electrical Engineering, ?Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
