The Failure Analysis section has a current opening for an experienced Digital Radiographer and Computed Tomography specialist to run the day to day jobs that need Radiography for root cause analysis in support of Failure Analysis. The position requires a dedicated operator to manage instrument maintenance and operation as well as analysis communicated to customers and engineers with detailed report. Responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
Experienced in the operation and maintenance of Real-Time X-ray Systems and CT X-Ray Systems.
Operate a Real-Time X-Ray System to inspect, analyze, characterize and troubleshoot failing devices.
Develop Technique Sheets and Scan Methods for CT Scanning.
Must be able to proficiently document (photo and video) the samples under test to the high quality standards of the lab
Perform basic failure analysis of devices using the various FA lab tools.
Must be technically proficient at operating the tools and developing techniques associated with component analysis.
Duties include the presentation of analysis results to Raytheon’s program personnel, component manufacturers, and customers.
Must be familiar and assertive dealing with service personnel that maintain equipment and PM Service.
Must present on the capability of the instruments and the ability to provide meaningful results on various issues.
Must work with the team and lead to manage instrument queue and schedule jobs to meet requirements.
Must be able to provide off-hours and weekend support when required to.
Experience working within a team environment.
Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
Experience with MS Office tool suite
Must be a US Citizen
At least 4 years experience working in a component-level analytical lab or an electrical test lab.
At least 4 years of experience associated with failure assessment, planning, and resolution.
At least 4 years in the engineering field.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or material science engineering and 4 years experience with digital radiography on electronic components or BA and 4 years related experience.

Have strong technical aptitude as shown by work experience (hands-on lab experience)
Be a hands on person with ability to work with production equipment
Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the electrical engineering fields and general knowledge of other related disciplines
Ability to demonstrate and deliver quality and timely results
Self-motivated, proactive and able to multi-task.
Demonstrate leadership experience through prior accomplishments
