Raytheon is looking for individuals with a proven track record in RF and Microwave design to work with our team of experts within the Receiver and Exciter Hardware Design Group. You will be working with a talented team on the development of next generation Receiver Exciter technologies for Airborne Radars.
A successful candidate will be an experienced technical lead and possess the ability to work in a high octane environment and engage in the development of requirements, architecture, design, analysis, detailed trade studies, simulation and test of RF and Microwave circuits and Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs). The candidate must be experienced using CAD tools and have detailed experience using lab equipment.
Design and test experience in high frequency circuits ranging from baseband to millimeter wave is desired. Work experience in designing Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs) and/or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Module and Unit level experience along with a broad understanding of Receiver Exciters and System’s level requirements is preferred, although a mixture of such experiences is acceptable.
Candidate should be able to work from requirements to finished product, assuring robust design of circuits and assemblies. They will be tasked to solve complex technical issues, design for next gen applications while ensuring those designs are robust and producible with trades associated with C-SWaP (Cost, Size, Weight and Power).
The candidate will work in collaboration with System’s engineering on the development of requirements, developing an architecture for the REX and Modules, conduct designs by trading various component selections including ADCs and DACs, Amplifiers, Mixers, Switches, and filters. They will design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts, conduct testing and integration, work with suppliers, and see the product through production phases.
The individual should be self-motivated and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative, yet schedule oriented mindset. They will be looked upon for pursuing IRAD projects but will also be sought after for driving low cost solutions for customer’s needs.
