JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC currently has an opening for an Information Assurance, Operating System Integration Engineer, to support the System Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate, based at Redstone Arsenal.  Job Description:  The candidate for this position will provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) support to the U.S. Army System Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate’s Aviation Automated Logistics Operating System Integration (OSI) team. Development is in a Microsoft Windows environment. Candidate will be working as part of a Software Tier Disc Installation team that is creating custom installation discs to install required Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) updates and security controls that meet the Mission Assurance Category (MAC) II sensitive but Unclassified (SBU) level according to the appropriate Department of Defense (DoD) and Army Regulations. The Information Assurance Security Engineer will create custom patches to remediate vulnerabilities that have been identified by Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan results. This effort supports Army Aviation aircraft maintenance software to be utilized by Army aviation units throughout the world. 





Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in computer engineering, computer science, or related technical field. 

Required Skills: 

  • Candidate must possess an understanding of Army Information Assurance working with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's), IAVAs or with Army information assurance applications such as Retina or SCAP. 
  • Must have the ability to work under strict time frames to meet both internal and external deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage own work, be able to balance multiple projects, and adapt quickly to new processes.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Desired Skills: 

  • Provide support to RMF Certification process.
  • Experience with unattended automated installations of various vendor products to include; Microsoft SQL Server, Adobe and antivirus programs.
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) experience is desired.
  • Solidcore/HBSS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Windows Group Policy Objects, Registry, and permissions.
  • Experience with Army Gold Master (Windows 10) and Army Unified Gold Master (Windows Server 2012); Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, Scripting experience (Power Shell, Batch, C# .NET, JavaScript).
