The primary role of the Assembler I is to be responsible for the handling, cleaning, de-burring, marking and packaging of machined parts that will be utilized in oil field products.
Prepares and performs assembly work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
Must be able to identify various parts used in assembly of products.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Will need to identify and use with proficiency the appropriate tools to prepare, strip and crimp appropriate wires used in assembly
Prevents/corrects assembly issues by altering dimensions to meet specifications;
Notifies supervisor of any issues, concerns, or need for additional resources.
Must be able to perform at an average of 70% efficiency or better.
Will need to maintain labor records transactions - utilizing company MRP (Great Plains).
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Must be able to abide by all company SOP's and safety regulations.

Required Experience and Education
Must have completed and achieved a high school diploma.
Must have 1+ years' experience working in similar position.
Candidates having worked in previous oil field environment a plus.
Must be able to read and write English fluently.
Must be able to communicate orally in English.
Some work experience as a handyman or in a skilled trade, such as roofing, landscaping or plumbing is desired.
