We are looking for a Material Program Manager to join our team!
The MPM is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the supply chain from a program perspective. The MPM defines program material strategy and influences the business to ensure program success in bid and execution phases. The MPM is the prime internal and external interface regarding status and performance of the supply chain on the program. Responsible for forecasting and achievement of sales and cash payables. Working with other members of the program team, identifies and manages risks, opportunities and issues. Presents program material metrics and status at program IPDS Gate Reviews, EAS Reviews and regular program reviews.
Job Duties and Requirements:
Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
Creating, managing, and executing material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP).
Providing comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensuring compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable.
Developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates
Developing and executing risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
Identifying and developing opportunities for small business participation
Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
Developing and tracking budgets, targets, working capital, initiating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
Extensive knowledge of MRP, MPS and materials management.
Analytical and innovative problem solver.
Extensive experience of supply chain solutions.
Program management skillset to include Earned Value Management.
Knowledge of Export/Import compliance requirements.
IT Proficient – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Development of internal and external relationships to improve PWIN and execution success.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Management and/or Project/Program Management
Excellent communication/influencing/relationship building skills at all levels.
Discipline of execution with urgency.
Demonstrated financial awareness and financial management skills.
Demonstrated time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
Experience working with suppliers providing direct materials to a manufacturing line
Demonstrated performance against financial budgets and forecasts
Experience leading cross-functional environment or teams
Experience interfacing with external customers and all levels of internal management
Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project).
