Position:  862-Navy Manpower Analyst Type:  Full Time Location:  Virginia Beach, Virginia

FTI is currently looking for a Data Analyst in Virginia Beach, VA as follows:

  • Liaise with Manning Control Authorities (MCAs), Fleet Commanders, Bureau of Personnel (BUPERS), TYCOMs, Enlisted Personnel Management and Assignment Center, Navy Manpower Analysis Center to monitor and coordinate sea and shore billet requirements and revisions
  • Analyzing and provide reports of manpower and training data, focusing on organic repair capability
  • Coordinating recommended remediation of at sea billet gaps and training requirements,
  • Providing the liaison and coordination between afloat units and the Regional Maintenance Centers in scheduling competency skill training as dictated by SORCAT findings,
  • Liaise with MCAs and BUPERS to monitor manning distribution policy changes such as the issuance to Sea / Shore assignment to ensure organic repair capabilities are maintained,
  • Supplying THMS data by completing reviews of NEC Distribution Assignment progress for populating afloat units,  
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and providing inventory reports of Navy wide NECs related to repair capabilities,
  • Monitoring the Fleet Training Management and Planning System management program for any changes,
  • Developing / submitting new manning and training proposals to the Project Manager,
  • Other duties assigned.

 Experience

  • Former U.S. Navy Admin person, YN or PS, E7 or above
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Experience with Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS) and N1 Staff responsibilities as it pertains to manning ships, adding billets at sea and addressing training shortages
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
  • Potential travel up-to 10%
