    Job Description:

    The Value Stream Lead (VSL) is responsible for all manufacturing related activities within the Ultra Precession Machining Center factory. The Ultra Precession Machining Center machines metal components that are delivered to multiple assembly factories for integration. The successful candidate will report to the Factory Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of up to 25 touch labor employees. The VSL will be tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional management to achieve production requirements.

    This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities related to machining of metal parts and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast paced deadline driven environment. The candidate must be willing to work any shift assigned as the Ultra Precession Machining Center factory operates on a 24 hour, 5 days a week production schedule. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform the manufacturing leadership role within a machine shop setting.

    The Value Stream Lead is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

    • Participate in Factory weekend coverage

    Required Skills:

    A minimum of 0-2+ years’ experience in at least one of the following areas:

    • Manufacturing Support Function
    • Shop Floor Management
    • Team Facilitation
    • Precision Machine Shop Environment
    • The candidate must currently have a DoD Secret Clearance or have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
    • This position is a 3rd shift, and requires ability to work 3rd shift schedule.

    Required Education:


    Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in engineering, manufacturing or related.
