Position Title:

Piping Materials Engineer

Position Description/Job Responsibilities

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsible for developing piping material specifications:

Responsible for selecting components for piping material classes, computing pipe wall thickness, specifying valves, designing piping specialty items such as strainers, corrosion coupons and samplers.

Responsible for developing technical & purchasing specifications for the procurement of piping components.

Responsible for developing requisitions, performing technical bid evaluations and vendor drawing reviews of piping components and valves.

Qualifications:

B.S. preferably in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 10 years experience in the development of Piping Material Specifications. Candidate must be familiar with ASME B31.3, B16.34, API-600, 602, NACE, and similar standards related to piping materials in the petro-chemical industry.
