SAIC has an immediate opening for an Operations Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory support to the Operations Engineering (OE) organization within the Mission Operations Directorate (MOD).
Support the development and assessment of operational concepts, requirements, processes, interfaces, and risks while evaluation for impacts to MOD equities, priorities, and policies.
Partner with stakeholders both internal and external to MOD.
Provide technical expertise on space protection and space situational awareness.
Assess integration activities in the context of cross-systems and present unbiased findings, analysis, and recommendations to the customer.
Represent MOD/OE and brief senior officials and other major stakeholders as necessary at inter-directorate meetings, information exchanges, and events.
Ability to anticipate customer tasking and respond in a timely manner.
Plan and facilitate meetings; drive discussion into action and decisions; help customers produce presentations.
Required Education and Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of a B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
10+ years of customer experience in MOD, GED, and SAO organizations.
Direct experience with MOD Site operations.
Good understanding of GEOINT and SIGINT ground systems.
Experience with space protection and space situational awareness.
Must possess strong project management skills.
Strong knowledge of system engineering fundamentals.
Must be proactive and self- motivated with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
US Citizenship is required along with an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
