Perform the role of Sr Program Engagement Manager (PEM)
This leader will work closely with his/her team and peers to maximize the use of a standard IT services catalog offerings to accelerate program work environment startup speed.The leader will help shape the appropriate technology and engineering tools for our programs, and align IT deployments with investment and solutions roadmaps.The leader will encourage the use of new tools and/or methodologies where appropriate to give SAS a competitive advantage.
The PEM will be accountable for the new program IT infrastructure budget ($M) and ensure all program infrastructure requirements and deployment schedules are met. This leader is accountable for managing a team of Program Engagement Leads that are the Primary IT interfaces for all SAS programs. This position will report to the Director of IT for Mission and Focus Areas will be located in McKinney, TX El Segundo, CA, or Largo, FL.
Primary duties will include:
Singularly responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of all IT infrastructure deployment across SAS program (open and closed areas).
The leader will liaise with all product line directors and program management to set priorities and forecasts for upcoming deployments, coordination of pursuits, program execution efforts.
Collaborate with program representatives, and SAS IT departments to optimize and track IT provisioned hardware/software asset inventory and configurations within program areas
Aggressively drive engagement with program representatives, IT stakeholders and requisition teams to accurately forecast and shape program demand for IT assets across the procurement life cycle: new procurements, upgrades, re-use and removals.
Partner with program leadership and IT Security and IA to ensure that the IT asset configurations are compliant with cyber security and RTN policy requirements.
Collaborate with SAS functional finance leaders and PMOs and to ensure IT needs are correctly captured
This Leader will work with capture teams to develop IT needs for inclusion in the proposal process
Proven ability to manage a portfolio and multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to influence and execute in a matrix environment
Ability to handle difficult situations involving C Suite and senior level management
Strong problem solving skills in a team environment
Minimum of 12 years of experience in at least one of the following fields: project management, systems engineering, information technology management
Strong experience in identifying and managing assumptions, risks, and opportunities associated with technology deployments, AOP process, proposals, projects, and/or programs
Active DOD Clearance of Secret or higher
Experience in facilitating and responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposals (RFP)
Knowledge of tool architectures and interfaces
Experience in working or interfacing with large-scale programs and executive leaders
Knowledge of other program disciplines – including hardware, integration and test, configuration management, quality management, etc
Knowledge of industry standards and assessments such as 6Sigma, ISO, RMF, CMMI, etc
BS/BA in STEM related discipline and 12 years of relevant experience
