About the role

Supporting the record to report management accounting for National Grid Ventures (NGV). Processing financial entries leading to complete and accurate financial information and production of management and financial  reporting for NGV. Due to the level of business interaction the role will require significant travel to the Solihull office.

 

  • Processing financial transactions and data for operating expenditure, ensuring the data used is consistent and accurate, the appropriateness of all inputs and outputs, and the completeness, consistency and accuracy of all data.
  • Ensure accounting entries are appropriately classified in accordance with internal policy, accounting standards and nature of expenditure
  • Providing support to the Finance Manager NGV in producing regular standardised financial performance and forecast reports
  • Supporting discussions with finance and cost centre managers to agree and account for recharges and allocations to NGV  
  • Providing support in investigating and responding to queries from external auditors and internal finance colleagues

About you

  • You will be CIMA, CPA, ACA, AAT or ACCA part qualified
  • You will have experience in a finance function in a medium to large organisation
  • With relevant finance experience in a shared service finance function
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel 
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
