Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Information Systems Security Specialist in the Washington, DC area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The MCIS Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customer’s success is driving our growth.


· Provides technical support in the areas of vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, product evaluation, and security implementation.

· Responsible for designing and implementing solutions for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information.

· Provides technical evaluations of customer systems and assists with making security improvements.

· Participates in design of information system contingency plans that maintain appropriate levels of protection and meet time requirements for minimizing operations impact to customer organization.

· Conducts security product evaluations, and recommends products, technologies and upgrades to improve the customer’s security posture.

· Conducts testing and audit log reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.


· Must possess a BA/BS degree, an additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

· Must possess 10-12 years of related experience.

· 5 or more years in InfoSec (2 year of FISMA-related experience).

· CISSP preferred.

· Knowledge of information security engineering, design concepts and principles.

· Knowledgeable with the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous monitoring methodologies.

· Knowledgeable with the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous monitoring methodologies.

· Extensive experience analyzing information technology and system risk in complex environments and articulating results (verbal/reports) to all levels of management.


· Must possess an active DOJ TS/SCI.
