Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) provides technical, scientific and professional services for defense, intelligence, civil and commercial customers worldwide. The business specializes in Cybersecurity Solutions, Global Intelligence Solutions, Global Training Solutions, Mission Support and Modernization Solutions, and Navigation and Environmental Solutions. Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is currently seeking a Senior Computer Network Technologist for the administration and maintenance of computer networks located in Springfield, Virginia. The individual selected will strive to maximize network support and automation, through technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers multiple computing languages and platforms.

Candidates will report to a Software Engineering Section Manager in Indianapolis, IN. The successful candidate will be involved in network management and administration in a secure classified environment, working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Work across IT functions to standardize processes and procedures. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members.
Required
  • An active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Solid working experience with Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, & 2016 networking products and software, including installation, administration and system hardening.
  • Solid working experience in scripting to automate general system administration through Powershell, Bash, sh and csh.
  • Solid working experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directories and Organizational Units (OU) creation and maintenance.
  • Experience with Network encryption devices
  • Four (4) years related work experience is required

Desired Skills

  • Working experience of Red Hat Linux Ver 5, 6 and 7 including installation, administration and system hardening.
  • Working experience in Storage Administration in RAID configurations and NetAPP OS.
  • Working knowledge of Group Policies and Group Policy Objects (GPO) with policy development and application via Active Directory Organizational Units (AD OUs).
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following Windows Server Roles:
    • Web Server IIS (Internet Information Server)
    • DNS Server (Domain Name Server)
    • Domain Controllers
    • AD Certificate Services
    • Exchange Servers
    • KMS Servers (Key Management Service)
  • Professional certification(s) (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco, VM VCP, etc.)
  • Programing Experience (i.e. C++, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, etc.)
  • Desire and ability to work as a contributing team member
  • Effective customer and communications skills
  • Ability to work under time constraints, self-starter, customer focused, adaptable and willing to work varying assignments
  • Organizational skills to include: attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with Classified Computing and Information Assurance best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong teaming skills

Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of 30 days of employment.

Sign on bonus for new hires
$20,000 for active Top secret or above clearance
$10,000 for active secret



Required Education:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study. Additional work experience may be considered in place of degree.
