An Opportunity is now available for a Configuration Management (CM) Lead who wants to be part of something big. Project AIR3024 is remediating the RAAF Woomera Test Range (WTR). The project is required to develop, deliver, integrate, test and support a Mission System and Support System in accordance with the requirements of WTR Function and Performance Specification and Operational Concept Document.
Accountable to the Engineering Manager the AIR3024 CM Lead is responsible for ensuring that Product Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting and Configuration Audits for the project are accomplished in accordance with the company configuration management system and the particular needs of the program.
Configuration Management activities for the project are properly estimated, planned and supported by appropriate tools and trained personnel.
Changes are managed from creation through to implementation; including conduct of effective Configuration Control Board Meetings.
Configuration Audits are conducted and are used to verify accuracy of Configuration Records.
Project Data is recorded, tracked and managed.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of six years experience in a suitable technical environment in either: Configuration Management, or System (hardware or software) design, manufacture, maintenance or testing.
Certificate IV or higher level in a technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Formal Configuration Management Training, e.g. accreditation as a Certified International Configuration Manager by International Society of Configuration, or Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)
An understanding of Configuration Management techniques, particularly in a defence electronics environment.
