The purpose of this position is to provide Scheduling and other Project Management support for projects at NASA Ames Research Center on the FILMSS contract.

The Project Management Analyst will prepare and develop project schedules, and also perform other tasks such as requirements definition, risk assessment and configuration management.

This position will primarily support the GeneLab Project: NASA's GeneLab is the first comprehensive space-related omics database in which users can upload, download, share, store, and analyze spaceflight and corresponding model organism data.

Other groups/projects to be supported may include Space Biology, Payload Science Logistics or Facilities Engineering.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules using Microsoft Project, based on customer and contractor -provided information and data.

Report top-level schedule information using Milestones software.

·

Identify and track project risks, develop risk statements and charts, run monthly risk review meetings and present risk assessments.

Risk Management will be per NASA standards.

·

Configuration Management tasks include managing documents using Confluence and JIRA, and/or the SCF Branch Engineering Release Center.

·

Manage Change Requests to configurable items, and organize the Change Control Board.

·

Prepare monthly inputs to report to Stakeholders on the above items.

·

Support functional teams as needed for reviews and other related activities, including editing and review of project documents.

Qualifications:

Required Education/Experience:

BA/BS in a technical field or business administration with 5 years relevant experience

Required Skills/Training:

·

Proficient with Microsoft Project, as well as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

·

Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines.

·

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·

The capability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:

·

Project Management Professional certification.

·

Experience with NASA projects and risk management policies.

·

Understanding and experience with software development projects.

·

Experience using Confluence and Jira for project communication and internal configuration management.

·

Experience using Adobe Acrobat and Milestones Pro.
