Raytheon Missile Systems Engineering provides engineering design, integration and cradle-to grave support to Missiles, Smart munitions, Projectiles, Kinetic kill vehicles, and Directed energy weapons with combat system competencies including process and control, integration and test, power systems, multiple system electronics, receivers and exciters, antennas and microwave sub-assemblies.
Experience the Parts Management / Parts Selection environment supporting the electronics design process.Tasks will include selecting, specifying, ensuring proper design part applications used in one or more Raytheon Missile Systems program application(s).Determine part applications adhere to Program Statement of Work (SOW) and other defined customer parts application requirements.Research and determine Program part environmental /characteristic application requirements. Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop component risk and verification delineation.Create component verification data packages with supporting data.Provide applications engineering support to multiple Program Integrated Product Teams (IPT's.)Facilitate Parts Selection and Libraries application through the coordination and generation of the Program Bill of Material (BOM) in a collaboration toolset. Presentation of parts standardization, Design Library, Obsolescence Management and Termination Finish Risk results in support of Program Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR’s / CDR’s).Parts Engineering parts management tasks support the full program lifecycle; proposal, System Design & Development, Low Rate Initial Production, production and support phases.

ØTechnical working knowledge of electronic components, e.g. Semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities and their application.
ØKnowledge of component failure modes by commodity

ØLimited knowledge of component reliability process monitors and/or qualification methodologies
ØKnowledge of analog design and analysis, general knowledge of digital circuitry and interfaces.
ØKnowledge and experience with use of lab common equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzer, etc.).
ØKnowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and test equipment.
ØLimited knowledge of circuit card and PWB manufacturing processes
ØWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Access
ØAbility to navigate multiple complex processes and tools.
ØEffective communication and the ability to work with and take directions from Functional Management, and Programmatic Leads from multiple programs.
ØAbility to effectively multi-task.
ØSelf-starter that knows when to ask questions or ask for help.
ØActive electronic circuit design experience.
ØExperience with Parts Standardization application within the Design process
ØExperience with the development of associated component data / drawings and the judgment /determination of part applications to meet program/project objectives and requirements.
ØKnowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications.
ØExperience with BOM development and management for developmental and production programs
ØWorking knowledge of Parts Obsolescence Management methodologies.
ØTroubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical circuit failures.
ØMentor Graphics Expedition or Design Architect and circuit simulation/analysis tools (PSPICE, Analog Workbench).
Desired Education (including Major):
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Cumulative GPA of 3.00 is desired.
