IIS Mission Assurance team is seeking a senior subject matter expert (SME) to join the System Assurance team. The System Assurance leader will drive IIS business level results through the identification and proactive resolution of emerging program challenges. This position works collaboratively across the IIS business and has direct interface with senior IIS business leaders across Program Management, Mission Assurance, Engineering, IT, and Supply Chain and reports to the Director of System Assurance.
The System Assurance SME must have demonstrated ability to: Lead transformation; Assess program health metrics (e.g. EACs, Risk and Opportunities); Identify opportunities for program efficiencies, and Apply principles in managing large and complex programs (e.g. Lead SE, significant IPT experience).
The System Assurance SME is a technical role that is customer mission focused. This candidate assures products meet their specified requirements, achieve operational suitability, and satisfy customer and mission needs. The System Assurance SME “champions” performance excellence through mission focused stewardship, and continuous improvement.

This is a senior leadership role which requires strong collaboration and partnering skills, established competency in engineering, PM/IPT, and mission assurance. Hands-on program experience is necessary to be effective in influencing flawless program execution. This role also requires excellent prioritization, time management, teaming, communications, and organizational skills.Required Qualifications:
- Review and validation of Mission Assurance technical performance through participation in the technical processes, independent oversight of milestone reviews and technical exchange meetings.
- Lead program / new pursuit assessments to ensure technical baseline (Requirements, Design, IV&V, Safety, RM&A …) is complete and correct as warranted for the system and operation environment.
- Identification of program technical risks and opportunities at both the system and component level with effective mitigation / handling plans.
- Providing insight and technical expertise through engagement at early IPDS gates, developing differentiating MA technical strategies and lifecycle value propositions for new business captures.
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.A broad based technical leader with proven Systems Engineering, Program Management/IPT leadership, Mission Assurance, Operations, and Project Planning skills. 10+ years demonstrated leadership experience in systems engineering, mission assurance, or a related field working in complex functional or program organizations.Breadth of program experience across full program lifecycle.Demonstrated experience in engineering processes, IPDS independent reviews and gate reviews, and proposal reviews.Demonstrated change leadership success in a complex environment utilizing continual improvement initiatives.Strong interpersonal, business relationship and facilitation with high personal integrityEmbraces diversity and embodies a mentorship-style of leadership Ability to work independently with minimal direction Ability to gain Raytheon Mission Assurance Certification Program Level 3 for System Assurance within 6 months.Secret clearance with ability to attain TS/SCI clearance.Desired Qualifications: Certified R6s Expert.Direct experience with Raytheon IPDS processes, gate reviews, and color team reviews.Background in System Engineering specialty disciplines, including reliability and system safety.EVMS certification.Program Management certification.TS/SCI clearance.Required Education:
