Job Description

Raytheon’s Office of General Counsel is seeking a pro-active paralegal (1) to expand and manage its online library of select legal resources and tools for the enterprise, and (2) to meet the administrative support needs of three transactional lawyers at the company’s global Headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. This paralegal reports to the Vice President & General Counsel of the Global Business Services division. With the help of an information technology team, the successful candidate would serve as the OGC’s chief librarian, curating its shared collection of resources for use by OGC members and the rest of the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Obtaining select legal materials from individual OGC subject matter experts
  • With OGC expert input, curating the collection for quality, relevancy, and currency
  • Supervising the maintenance of a mobile application for an internal directory featuring a photo and profile of each OGC member.
  • Providing administrative support to three lawyers (basic research, scheduling meetings, travel, logistics, filing, expense reports)

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience and Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years of relevant experience and Associate’s degree.
  • Can work pro-actively and collaboratively with lawyers, with minimal supervision
  • Strong familiarity with information technology (databases, mobile applications)
  • Openness to change, learning,and innovation
  • Extremely well-organized and attentive to details
  • Good judgment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in information management or library sciences
  • Foreign language ability or experience living or working outside the USA
  • Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Office, Adobe tools.
