The THAAD UAE and THAAD Lockheed Martin subcontracts Deployment, Fielding, and Sustainment (DFS) IPT Lead reports directly to the Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) Senior Manager for the Mission Systems and Sensors Business Area. This lead is responsible for overall leadership of the IPT to include establishing/maintaining primary interface with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Lockheed Martin Deployment, Fielding and Sustainment counterparts.
This position can be a Salary Grade G10 or Salary Grade G11 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to organizational impact, innovation and complexity, communication & influence, leadership and talent management, knowledge and experience
General responsibilities of the DFS IPT lead include;

  • Provide leadership and direction to the IPT, with members in Woburn, MA and Huntsville, AL, including decision making, problem resolution, staffing decisions and team growth and development

  • Ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality, and EXIM requirements for the DFS requirements associated with the two UAE deployed systems as well as those of the Lockheed Martin subcontract.
  • Support follow-on program pursuits and ensure accurate and complete cost and technical proposal development
  • Ensure accurate and complete control account management, Earned Value analysis, and Estimates at Completion
  • Establish and maintain IPT elements/interfaces of the Integrated Master Schedule
  • Manage product and services configurations
  • Obtain/Maintain necessary training and certifications to include Level 6 PM certification
  • Communicate urgent issues and potential problems in a timely manner
  • Support the Chief Engineer and Technical lead with the development of product roadmaps and strategies enabling the program to pursue and capture growth opportunities
  • Ensure maximum commonality and re-use across the product and proactively address obsolescence, producibility, testability, and supportability
  • Cultivate an inclusive culture where people feel comfortable to raise issues early and present alternative viewpoints

Required Skills:
  • Eight (8) + years’ experience leading cross functional teams or operational departments or program management within an organization.
  • Experience planning and executing life cycle sustainment ofcomplex systems.
  • Experience implementing EVMS, Integrated Master Schedules, and Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement or streamlining methodology

Desired Skills:
  • Currently possess or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (DoD)
  • Experience planning and executing life cycle sustainment ofcomplex systems in UAE or similar international environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration
  • Raytheon EVMS certified or equivalent
  • Subcontract Management experience
  • Experience with the Agile framework and SCRUM execution
  • On-site International life cycle support related experience
  • Raytheon Level 6 PM Certified
Required Education:
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a Technical Discipline (STEM). 8 years of experience related to this job description may be considered in lieu of a BS/BA
