Job Description:

Raytheon Global Business Services - Finance in Greenville, Texas is seeking a strong addition to the Payroll Team to lead operational activities associated with the HR/Benefit team. The successful candidate will supervise a 5-8 person team who has responsibility to oversee the maintenance and updating of HR and benefit plans including leave accruals and monitoring/support for benefits supplied through third party suppliers. The HR/Benefits team is a fast paced, high volume, team oriented environment, focused on individual and team performance as well as continuous improvement.

Primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the HR/Benefits Team providing guidance, training, developing and coaching team members
  • Coordinate, monitor, and resolve issues related to interfaces between 3rd party payroll providers and Raytheon systems.
  • Continuously improve the operations by applying six sigma and lean methodologies
  • Maintain current internal controls and establish additional controls and procedures as needed
  • Hold team accountable for accuracy and processing goals while providing on-going feedback.
  • Interact with all levels of management to identify opportunities to streamline and improve the Payroll HR/Benefit process and promote improvements.
  • Maintaining and overseeing organization guidelines and the adherence of staff to those guidelines

  • Excellent written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and perform work without appreciable direction
  • Dedicated practitioner of process improvement
  • Ability to maintain a service oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations
  • Experience and knowledge of ERP Systems, such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls
  • Demonstrated track record of developing, maintaining and delivering superior customer service at all times to our customers
  • Strong organization and analytical skills combined with a proven ability to anticipate and creatively solve problems
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and other data manipulation applications
Desired Skills:
  • Payroll HR/ Benefit Experience gained in a large corporate multi-national environment
  • Experience with Benefits including knowledge of 401k, Deferred Comp, Leave Accruals plans
  • PeopleSoft Experience
  • Six Sigma Specialist Certification
  • Masters’ degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, HR or related field

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business or a related field and 6 or more years of experience within Payroll, HR, Benefits, Accounting or related/applicable experience gained in a large corporate setting
