The Missile & Space Defense (M&SD) Business Development Manager will lead business development and growth for new opportunities by investigating and qualifying customer opportunities; executing selling expense resources to develop content for customer meetings; planning and hosting customer visits in El Segundo; planning and executing capture contact plans; and developing and supporting Gate Reviews. This individual manages customer engagements at all levels; evaluates customer relationships and adjusts strategy as required. Responsible for gaining insights into the customer’s mission and capability needs and driving the internal organization to create discriminating solutions. This role conducts market analysis, develops strategies and manages execution of the strategy, in conjunction with the Product Line leader and Product Line BD Lead.

Required skills:

  • Current DoD Secret clearance
  • Us Citizenship
  • Knowledge of Space industry primes and government customers
  • 10 years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in all phases of business development from opportunity validation to capture
  • Ability to translate mission needs into system solutions and provides advanced guidance for complex missions crossing multiple agencies.
  • Managing multi-disciplined matrixed teams
  • Managing budgets

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in science, mathematics, engineering
