The Airborne Processors directorate within SAS Electronics Warfare Systems (EWS) is seeking a Program Manager to lead the growing suite of F-16 Modular Mission Computer (MMC) Production Programs. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is the world’s most capable 4th generation multi-role fighter, serving as the workhorse of the fighter fleet for 28 customers around the world. The F-16V, the latest F-16 configuration, includes numerous enhancements designed to keep the F-16 at the forefront of international security. This latest configuration has opened up a significant FMS market and the USAF Service Life Extension Program has extended viability of the platform through ~2050 thus creating a substantial business base for many years to come.
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical execution of the F-16 MMC Production contracts. The contracts are issued from a major prime customer and include multiple FMS end users. Current firm backlog extends through 2021. In 2019, a Multi-Year IDIQ contract will be awarded for up to 600 systems to be delivered through 2024. The successful candidate will incorporate best practices to optimize execution, drive increased efficiencies and improve affordability of the products. They should have a proven history building high performing cross-functional teams and strong customer partnerships. The MMC Production programs are a significant contributor to ABP and EWS financial performance. Quarterly EAC’s are classified as Major and require frequent communication with the ABP and EWS Leadership Teams. This position will also require a significant amount of proposal lead experience to manage and execute multiple concurrent proposals that are frequently in work.
