SAIC has an opening for a Configuration Management Engineer.
Experienced in all phases of IT change and release management lifecycle. The candidate must possess the ability to build processes and determine and implement proper tools with which to support CM processes at the corporate level. This includes analysis, design, and implementation of system-wide software/firmware modifications; developing and issuing associated national technical directives and maintenance guidance, reviewing newly acquired or existing documentation and supporting engineering drafting services and technical library requirements, Other duties include performing follow-ups to on-going or completed engineering work and providing support to engineering and logistics management activities, and production shops
**MUST be able to obtain Secret clearance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:A minimum of 15 years progressive experience with Configuration Management processes and procedures for complex information technology systems is required
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems,
engineering, or other related discipline. Eight (8) years of relevant experience
is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree in an appropriate discipline
will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of relevant experience. A
doctoral or Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline will be considered
equivalent to four (4) years of relevant experience. Six (6) years of relevant
experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position
will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, when combined with a
certification equivalent to PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, MCSE, MCSD, CPCM, or CPSM..
