We now have an opportunity of an experienced Program Manager to join our Destroyer Directed Guidance (DDG) Combat System Integration ( CSI) team at Garden Island, New South Wales.

The DDG CSI program provides timely and efficient delivery of services to ensure continued provision of DDG Combat System (CS) Capability within the DDG System Program Office and DDG Enterprise. Reporting to the Maritime Sustainment and Training Director, the DDG CSI Program Manager is responsible for providing the overall Combat System guidance, focus, strategy and management of the services provided under the DDG Enterprise in accordance with the DDG Enterprise Charter and Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the DDG CSI Team, consistent with the DDG Enterprise Charter.
  • Accountable to meet cost and schedule performance requirements, achieving the best project outcomes, as part of an integrated team, in accordance with the DDG Enterprise Charter and Contracted scope.
  • Accountable as a member of the DDG Enterprise for the creation and maintenance of an enterprise focused environment that promotes a collaborative enterprise culture.
  • Plans, directs and controls all operations, setting program strategy, vision and tactical direction for the program execution by multifunctional teams.
  • Drives effectiveness and results of multiple functions and team to ensure long-term company success.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated competence in PMBOK competencies and ability to work in sustainment project environments of PCAT Level 2 or greater complexity
  • 12 years' operations or project management experience including complex and multiple projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Project Management or Management discipline
  • Chartered status or Project Management Qualification with AIPM accreditation to Certified Practitioner
  • Experience with Earned Value principles and US, Australian and European export control regulations
  • Understanding of Defence maritime, commercial and technology management requirements
  • Hold or eligible to obtain an Australian Defence NV-1 Security Clearance
