Job Description:
Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Supply Chain Logistics team is seeking a Sr. Logistics Specialist to serve as a supervisor responsible for shipping of government owned assets in accordance with Defense Contract Management Agency Transportation rules and regulations. The candidate selected will perform a wide array of duties from supervising and training employees, collaborating with peers and internal customers, creating and auditing work instructions and verifying accuracy of documentation for outbound shipments upon receipt into the Pack & Ship process.

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership of daily activity for the Pack Preparation team
  • Reviewing and Monitoring adherence to operating policies and procedures
  • Review monthly performance metrics to support functional operation processes and provide feedback for performance improvement opportunities
  • Liaison between Operations, Programs and Logistics Pack & Ship
  • PRISM and outbound shipment troubleshooting for Texas Logistics

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years of Leadership experience
  • Minimum 4 years of Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations work experience
  • Experience with technical issues associated with logistics or operation requirements
  • Ability to effectively drive positive change in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance
  • Written and verbal communication skills adequate to address issues with Raytheon employees, internal customers and on site DCMA customers.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

  • Experience with designing packaging instructions
  • Experience with processing classified and hazard shipments
  • Ability to produce a concise and comprehensive business case and presentation associated with any appropriate process improvement
  • Experience working within a diverse team environment
  • Possess a solid reputation for safety, professionalism, and ethical responsibility
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • High data entry speed and accuracy

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
