SAIC is looking for Simulation Systems Software Engineers at varying levels of experience to join the Pilot Training Next (PTN) program.
PTN is a fast-paced development environment focused on innovation and creative edge. Our engineers work hand-in-hand with our customer to deliver out-of-the-box training solutions, rapid prototypes and innovative user experiences that have an immediate impact on U.S. Air Force pilot training.

Our Prepar3D Simulation Software Engineer will design, develop and test software for use in a real-time simulation-based 4D training environment that incorporates virtual reality and audio and haptic feedback. The Prepar3D flight simulator is the center of the PTN training environment, an environment built by integrating commercially available hardware (HTC Vive, Thrustmaster HOTAS), biometric devices (Zephyr, FitBit), and AI-enabled software agents. The Prepar3D Simulation Software Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert for interoperating simulation systems and gaming applications using Prepar3D’s SimConnect API or Prepar3D Development Kit (PDK).
