Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Region Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance, maintenance

scheduling on all equipment and provides guidance and supervision to the maintenance crew. He is responsible for the

maintenance budget, staff training, HSE, inventory control, record retention of required by Federal, State and local governed

regulatory and enforcing all company policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Must have the ability and knowledge in regards to scheduling Preventive Maintenance Programs, employee training, daysoff
  • and vacation schedules according to current company policy
  • • Must be able to perform and complete, without fault, all Essential Functions required of all mechanic level positions.
  • • Assists with equipment function checks at the facility
  • • May perform basic tasks in the office, facility and working knowledge of the Nabors system and company purchasing
  • process and policies
  • • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate management
  • • Possess skills to operate, identify, maintain and troubleshoot company equipment
  • • Has an active role in assigning mentors to entry and lower level mechanics during repairs
  • • Works under no supervision with freedom to act in regards to work methodology
  • • Ensures and supervises compliance with all company and client Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) practices and
  • guidelines and training for all assigned staff
  • • Ability to perform and complete work on their own as well as provide motivation and direction to other employees as
  • needed
  • • Must complete all required Nabors’ training and have a sound understanding and enforce Nabors’ Policies and Procedures
  • • Continually emphasize safety. Participate or lead safety meetings, hazard hunts and ensures JSA’s are followed.
  • • Know, follow and periodically review the requirements established by job policy and procedure. Follow established
  • procedures and guidelines
  • • Report unsafe acts, conditions or hazards immediately
  • • Follow instructions given by supervisory personnel.
  • • Requires maintained eligibility to drive company vehicles.
  • • Possesses an understanding of district goals and works towards meeting those objectives.
  • • Performs work on his/her own as well as providing assistance to others as directed.
  • • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
  • • Performs the primary thinking called for and encompassed by the overall Position Definition.
  • • Adheres to Company policies and work requirements.
  • • Conducts an annual review of the Position Definition and updates as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Pass the company’s drug screen.
  • • Pass the company’s “Physical Functions Assessment”. (if applicable)
  • • Motor vehicle record qualifies individual to be an approved company driver.
  • • Acceptable criminal history.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they are able to understand verbal and written instructions as
  • well as give verbal and written instructions in English; and the ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole
  • numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job related calculations.
  • • Must have attained a minimum of 6 to 10 years on-the-job mechanical experience
  • • Skills required for this position are typically acquired through completion of on-the-job training, schools and experience
  • • Must meet Competency Task List requirements for job role and complete Equipment Maintenance Task List

Required Experience and Education

HS Diploma required or G.E.D.
