Raytheon Company has an immediate need for a Systems Operations Specialist in the Reston, VA area.

Tasking responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Configure deployable tools to reflect CONOPS and maintain diverse integrity for the lifetime of the deployment.
  • Maintain configuration management tools and operational systems.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of operations as they develop/progress and monitor all aspects of technical operations.
  • Responsible for monitoring, drafting, and coordinating responses to daily correspondence from field sites. Draft highlights, reports, and briefing materials utilizing clear and concise writing skills.
  • Manipulate Microsoft Office programs to build charts and graphs given operational statistics.
  • Perform data entry, and conduct custom queries within the customer's operational specific databases.
  • Prepare specific tasking requests.
  • Provide status updates on particular operations to management as necessary.
  • Read and generate customer unique messages.
  • Develop and provide metrics as requested.

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting customer TTL activities using customer’s partners and commercial systems including the configuration, disambiguation and monitoring of these systems.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience capturing, coordinating and executing requirements for operational activities from both local and overseas officers. This includes coordination for approval with multiple parties helping to obtain the needed resource support and managing requirements.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting the full lifecycle of operational activities including planning, coordination, deployment, operations and decommissioning to meet operational deadlines.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience using customer official communication channels to determine and prioritize tasking.
  • Willingness/ability to work in an “on-call” setting and to support global operations and testing 24/7 as needed. You will be on a team providing support to the customer and users from 6am-6pm.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and operational footing of Customer.
  • Demonstrable creativity and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cohesively with varying personalities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desire Skills
  • Familiar with supporting commercial and customer partners Satellite systems including the tasking and coordination required for access as well as the pre-use testing and troubleshooting processes associated with each satellite system.
  • Familiar with coordinating with Sponsors Partners entities specifically tasked with providing satellite infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Familiar with providing direct support to end users (account management, customer system configuration, troubleshooting).

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications
  • Current/active TS/SCI with full poly
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with FSP from day one of employment.

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and eight (8) years of experience. Four (4) additional years of relevant experience, for a total of twelve (12) years of experience, can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
