The IMS Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. As Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware vCenter infrastructure, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies, Public Key Infrastructure, HPAC Secure Printing, and HP Blade Servers and HP Storage Area Networks in a distributed IT environment.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Engineering, documenting, delivering and maintaining the platforms listed above in accordance with customer specifications and security guidelines
  • Diagnosing and resolving the toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above
  • Writing implementation and design documents describing how security features are implemented
  • Participating in processes throughout all phases of ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests
  • Performing requirements analysis, design, and integration for all platforms listed above.
  • Providing direction and guidance to less experienced systems engineers.
  • Responsibility for investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
  • Providing IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range of technologies, including: VMware vCenter, Horizon View, vCOPS, Site Recovery Manager, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Blade Servers, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
  • Other tasks to include requirements specification, performance modeling, end-to-end functional analysis, cost estimation, and joint application design.
  • Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment.

Positions Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree and 5 - 7 years of related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products preferred.
  • DOD 8140 Certification required (Security+CE or CISSP)
  • ITIL v3.0 or Foundation Certifications highly desired
  • One of the following certifications is required: MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSE - Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional

Security Requirements:
Top Secret clearance required
