Position: 881-Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) Junior Engineer

Location: Norfolk, Virginia
FTI is seeking a full time CATM specialist to support the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) and the Joint Planning Support Element (JPSE) in Norfolk, VA. This specialist will be working on-site to support JPSE weapons maintenance, inspection, transport, and training requirements.
Documented Professional Military Combat Arms experience
Years of experience 7+
For supported Small Arms/Light Weapons (SA/LW), be able to professionally and safely perform authorized disassembly, assembly, cleaning, lubricating, preserving, screw tightening, sight adjusting, sling replacing, etc., and perform preventative maintenance checks according to applicable technical orders.
MS Office Applications
Must be able to:
Work under general supervision of a Project Manager according to company policies and project specifications.
Develop preventative maintenance cleaning and lubrication program, to include accessories, for both in-use and extended storage SA/LW.
Develop a standardized method for documenting SA/LW cleaning and preventative maintenance.
Ensure proper cleaning equipment and materials are available/used to clean each assigned weapon.
Prepare all SA/LW for inspection to include cleaning and mechanical zeroing of extended storage SA/LW, annually or as required.
Ensure all documentation is ready for required inspections.
Coordinate with local Combat Arms section to turn in SA/LW requiring repair and transport weapon to the Combat Arms section.
Coordinate inspections with all applicable agencies.
Schedule and conduct pre-embarkation inspections for deployments.
Schedule and perform a complete serviceability inspection for returning weapons.
