Job Description:
The Raytheon Program Cost Control Team in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a highly motivated Program Cost Control Analyst. This person will provide value-added Financial and Earned Value analysis to Control Account Managers (CAMs), Program Managers, Customers, and Raytheon Management using standard company tools (SAP, PMX, etc) in compliance with standard processes. This includes working with the program office to: Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Prepare Work Authorizations, Develop time-phased budgets, Assign proper EV techniques at the WBS level, and ensure baseline changes are made properly and are documented with approved BCR’s. Make certain that costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing cost transfers when appropriate. Measure performance, analyze variances, and generate Earned Value reports for internal & external distribution. Monitor billing status and follow-up on unbilled issues. Lead the financial planning efforts for assigned projects providing monthly updates of projected cost, sales, profit, and cash using Raytheon tools. Assist the effort to complete quarterly Estimate-At-Complete for assigned projects. Support audits of financial information by internal and external auditors. Provide ad hoc assistance, analysis and reporting as required by management.

Required Skills:

  • At least 2 years experience working in an engineering development and/or production environment in a program cost control analyst position.
  • Experience using Micro-frame Program Management (MPM), SAP EV, or comparable tool to generate EV data
  • Understanding of earned value theory and practice with the ability to apply knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal skills including demonstrated ability to succinctly present complex information
  • Knowledge of key financial systems and tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of earned value theory
  • Must be flexible and able to manage a wide range of work assignments
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to work with Program Manager, CAM’s, and functional leads to prepare Estimate-At-Complete
  • Experience with SAP business systems particularly in the areas of cost management, project management, and financial planning
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of PRISM and Business Warehouse.
  • Financial analysis & planning skills at the project level (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash)

Required Education: Must have a BS / BA with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other related field.
