Description

    SAIC is currently looking for technical, analytic, and subject matter expertise who are interested in supporting the Headquarters, United States Air Force (HAF) in providing analytic support to Air Force leadership to execute an integrated, enterprise approach to designing the future Air Force. The SAIC Team will support the Air Force with innovative solutions that help inform and guide decision-making on the design and integration of Air Force capabilities.

     

    SAIC will provide support to the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC), AF/A5A with strategy development; operational concept development; operational challenge studies; operational/regional politico-military analysis; capability assessments; war and mobility planning support; requirements development; and integration of these efforts across the Air Force enterprise and joint communities.

     


    Job Description:

     

    • SAIC is seeking a Futures and Concepts Analyst to support the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC) mission.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develops, reviews, coordinates, refines, and tests Air Force, Multi-Service, Joint, Interagency, and Multi-National concepts.
    • Performs a broad range of highly complex quantitative and qualitative analysis on national and defense strategy, future operating environment challenges, and capabilities to develop hypotheses on solving operational and institutional military problems with Doctrine, Organizational, Training, Material, Leadership, Policy, and Facility changes.
    • Articulates the hypotheses in a concept narrative with the necessary level of detail to inform changes in Air Force systems, personnel, and infrastructure.
    • Develops a program of action and milestones to guide the concept development process from initiation through senior leader approval.
    • Coordinates and incorporates inputs from across the USG enterprise to refine, adjust, or invalidate hypotheses.
    • Develops sub-elements or attributes of hypotheses to enable analysis, wargames, and modeling and simulation.
    • Communicates concept development progress with organizational leadership routinely in executive level oral and written communication.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree and 10 years of experience.
  • 10 years of experience with Cross- functional weapons and tactics expertise and/or advanced military strategy and planning experience.
  • Experience with strategy planning and development, operational concept development, operational challenge studies or strategic assessments.
  • Knowledge of the Air Force's Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (SPPBE) processes.
